3D Design, Prototyping & Printing

We model your idea in 3D before anything is cut, so you can see and approve the design first.

Rapid prototypes and printed parts for fixtures, samples and product development. The 3D model becomes the basis of production — the same model drives the CNC.

About this service

About this service

3D design is the first step of every project at Preiss Workshop. We model the idea in 3D — a piece of furniture, a sign, cabinetry or a technical part — so you see and approve the form before anything is cut. The same model then drives CNC production.

We use 3D printing for rapid prototypes, fixtures, samples and small parts that do not suit routing. It lets us test form and fit in the hand before production starts, and shortens the path from idea to finished piece.

The service is also available to designers and companies as stand-alone product development.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a drawing to start?

No. A sketch, a photo or a description is enough — we model the idea in 3D and send it for approval.

What is 3D printing used for?

Prototypes, fixtures, samples, moulds and small parts — anything that needs testing or making in small numbers.

Can I see the piece before it is built?

Yes. The 3D model is sent to you for approval, and a full-size prototype can be printed.

Start with drawings, photos or measurements.

Send drawings, photos, measurements or a rough idea. We review the project and recommend the next step.
